Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic is one of Canada's largest regulated health care professions, with over 5,000 practitioners, and over 4.5 million Canadians – from infants to seniors – going to them for care.

It’s a safe, natural treatment performed by Doctors of Chiropractic, who have completed a minimum of three years of related university study, four years at an accredited Chiropractic College with one full year being a clinical internship, and successfully passed both provincial and national exams.

Canadians are turning to chiropractors because their treatments doesn’t just try to eliminate symptoms of your health problems – they seek their root cause work proactively to prevent them from becoming permanent, disabling health issues.

A chiropractor focuses on the health of your musculoskeletal and nervous systems, which are affected by tasks of everyday living, repetitive tasks, poor posture, injuries, and accidents. If you are experiencing pain, muscle spasms or restriction in your range of motion, chiropractic care may be a drug-free, natural treatment that provides you with relief.

Your chiropractor will focus on the health of your nervous system, which controls virtually every function of the body – from movement, breathing, digestion, or fighting off an infection – by sending signals through your spinal column. Pairs of nerve roots branch off from your spinal cord from between each spinal joint to service your entire body. They bring messages back to the brain, which monitors all functioning.

If the bones in your spine become compressed or misaligned (called subluxations), you can be affected in many ways – learn more by clicking here. Your chiropractor uses their hands to apply quick, precise and safe pressure to your spine and joints and bring your body back into proper alignment, bringing you better health without surgery or drugs.

Dr. Katherine Tibor goes above and beyond

Chiropractic adjustments are just one part of your treatment, when you go to Dr. Katherine Tibor for care. She applies many styles of treatment and skills to give you the best care possible.

As a registered Active Release Therapist®, the doctor uses this soft tissue manipulation technique to treat problems often caused by  overused muscles. Her ART® treatments involve using her hands to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by the Doctor applying precisely directed tension, while the patient performs very specific movements.

Dr. Katherine is also certified in Graston® Technique, an treatment that uses specially designed instruments to break up scar tissue that has developed in the muscles, tendons, or ligaments. This helps reduce friction between surrounding tissues and promote improved functioning of the body.

If you are pregnant and experiencing pain due to your baby growing in the breech position in late pregnancy, Dr. Katherine can help you using the Webster Technique. Her chiropractic care can also ease pain in your spine and pelvis by keeping them aligned.

If you are experiencing problems due to an uneven gait or foot problems, Dr. Katherine is qualified to assess your gait biomechanics and fit you with custom orthotics.

She also uses physical therapy modalities such as electrical muscle stimulation, IFC, microcurrent and ultrasound treatments for patients who can benefit from their treatment and pain relief.
