Balanced Health Care has an excellent and friendly team of natural health professionals, working together to help you and your family meet your medical and rehabilitation needs. We treat you with dignity and respect, and take the time to learn who you are to offer you custom-tailored care.

We can help you benefit from the healing properties of chiropractic care, massage therapy, homeopathy, naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, Active Release Therapy, Graston Therapy, footcare and the fitting of orthotics. We care for persons of every age - from infants to older adults. Our specialties include pregnancy and pediatric care, and therapeutic treatment of injuries.

Dr. Diane Peters ND, Naturopathic Doctor

Dr. Diane Peters primary goal is for her patients to achieve optimal health by providing guidance and all the necessary tools for them to reach their optimum health on all levels: physical, mental and spiritual. Through naturopathy, Dr. Peter's unlocks the body's ability to heal itself by helping her patients to reestablishing their natural balance.

Dr. Peters treats a variety of health conditions, which include digestive disorders, arthritis, high blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases and thyroid conditions. She also has expertise in women's health issues such as menopause, and weight management.

Her treatment methods include nutritional counselling, botanical medicine, lifestyle counselling, traditional Chinese acupuncture and biopuncture, a natural therapy that assists with pain management, allergies and hormone regulation. Dr. Peters applies the most appropriate treatment for each individual by taking into account that each individual comes from a different background and lifestyle.

Dr. Peters completed her pre-medical studies at McMaster University, where she obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Life Science. She then further pursed her medical studies in Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. She is a registered member of the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy - Naturopathy and Naturopathic Doctors Ontario.

After completing the naturopathic medical program, she also received advanced training and certification in intravenous therapy and biopuncture. 

Also having a practice in Durham Region, Dr. Peters has twice won the Best Naturopath Ajax/Pickering Reader's Choice Award in 2010 and 2011.
